Financial Planning
Financial Planning is a process to meet your personal and financial goals and objectives. It is about taking control of your finances, making good financial decisions, and working towards achieving financial independence. This can either be done by preparing a formal comprehensive plan or through piecemeal planning to meet specific goals such as cash management & budgeting, education funding, retirement planning, tax planning, or estate planning, just to name a few.
The first step in the financial planning process is to gather data regarding your income, expenses, taxes, investments, wills, trusts, insurance coverage, liabilities, retirement plans, and any other information regarding your personal and financial situation. The second step is to create specific goals and objectives. The third step is to create a personal financial plan and develop recommendations to meet your goals and objectives. The final step is to periodically monitor the plan and make adjustments as needed.
